Other ships might technically be better, but Dunkerque is my #1. If they want to close on you, they're going to have to deal with all 8 of your cannons, while masking their back turrets to try to gain on you. With the way dispersion works in WoWs, that's like trying to shoot at a quarter of a destroyer side, at T6, where things aren't all that accurate. her profile from the front is thin enough that it really doesn't matter that much. Just point at the enemy shoot, and reverse when things get too hot. Can 15 inch cannons overmatch her armor? Yes. I actually bow tank using Dunk.ĭoes she have survival issues? Not really, no. Her secondaries are also hilarious (though, honestly, you're probably dead if an enemy gets close enough for them to do major work). She goes at 29.5 knots, the fastest battleship at her tier. Her shells have 840 m/s initial velocity, making her gunnery pretty comfortable. Her turrets reload quickly (for a BB), at 26 seconds. She has 8 330 mm cannons pointing forward, so you never have to show side to all your firepower to bear, and her turrets have good traverse time. She's the ship I have the most matches in (over 300). She's the ship I have the best record in. Dunkerque is the ship I started doing PvP in. Plus it's size is a disadvantage as it's easier to hit.You know, the stats may say that one ship of another is better, and it's probably true, but I have to say this. Kii has great guns but it's torpedoes aren't great and it has poor armor. For instance Tirpitz is on the bottom for randoms. In 12 Vs 12 it's a bit different, but it still have the most tools and advantages to deal with anything Having done a fair number of 1v1's at T8, I can assure you Kii rarely will beat a Massachusetts or Tirptiz. With Kii I would say that it would win against any other T8 BB in 1 vs 1. WR server stats doesn't tell much, some of the best ships are at the bottom in many tiers. Doesn't mean she's bad, but no where near the best. Kii and Alabama have virtually identical performance though they do different things better.ĭefinitely not! She's in the bottom third, roughly. If you know you like North Carolina for instance, it'd be good. Probably Alabama, but part of that is she's a real ship and I've visited her.
